Lakes at Cocoa Grove Community Development District
Lakes at Cocoa Grove Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended and established on January 8, 2024 by the City Council of the City of Cocoa, Florida (Brevard County), Ordinance No. 27-2023 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
Lakes at Cocoa Grove CDD encompasses an area of approximately 95.38184 acres, generally located north of Old Bartow/Lake Wales Road, west of Gary Street and east of McClean Road, entirely within the City of Winter Haven, Florida.
Lakes at Cocoa Grove CDD expects to plan establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain additional systems and facilities.

Lakes at Cocoa Grove Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended and established on October 23, 2023 by the City Council of the City of Cocoa, Florida (Brevard County), Ordinance No. 27-2023 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
Upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the District will be duly and legally authorized to exist and exercise all of its powers as set forth in Section 190.012(1), Florida Statutes, and as otherwise provided by law. The powers and functions of the District are described in Chapter 190, Florida Statutes.
Consent is hereby given to the District’s Board of Supervisors to finance, fund, plan, establish, acquire, construct, reconstruct, enlarge, or extend, equip, operate, and maintain systems and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and educational uses, and for security, all as authorized and described by Sections 190.012(2)(a) and (2)(d), Florida Statutes (2021).
